Support the credit underwriting team by developing and enhancing tools that improve decision-making.

Use advanced Excel capabilities (formulas, pivot tables, financial models) to streamline underwriting calculations and workflows.

Apply the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) to build solutions that go beyond reporting-such as applications, calculators, and process automation that directly support underwriting.

Assist in analyzing borrower data and preparing financial summaries.

Collaborate with credit analysts to identify opportunities for efficiency and improved accuracy in underwriting processes.

Document tools, calculations, and processes to ensure repeatability and transparency.

Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects.

Accountabilities can and may include areas such as research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support.

Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking and community service events.

Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program.

Be assigned a project, designed to improve a specific process or solve a problem that you will present at the close of the internship.

Prepare a wrap-up presentation to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders in the company to outline your accomplishments and experience during the internship

Qualifications
Required qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience

Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program)

Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program
Preferred qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, Technology, or a related field.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to design financial and underwriting calculation models.

Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, professional setting.

The base pay for this position is generally between $18.00 and $25.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
